Winning Our Battles.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Many times in a given week or day, we find ourselves battling against evil. It can be when everything is going well or it can reflect the already bad time you've had. You're not alone, however. It is our responsibility to use God's spiritual weapons of mass destruction in order to find the truth and seek the freedom that Christ enables us to encounter.

The devil tries his best to "kill, steal, and destroy us" as we're told in the gospel of John. He likes to deceive us into thinking that God's word isn't true. That evil Satan tries his best to make us develop a F.E.A.R. (which I have learned is just False Evidence Appearing Real).

Thank God for his grace. Because of it we can see past the devilish lies of Satan and we are able to remove its grasp from us. God's power is so overwhelmingly strong that it is beyond the idea of death; it has provided us with victory through Jesus. What should we do then? Obey God and once you get it, then show others the way to doing the same. Sure, the battlegrounds that we stumble upon could easily defeat us, but by stumbling upon God's grace and love, that's just what we need to defeat it!

Oh, Lord, use me to capture the evil spirit and replace it with the Holy Spirit so that the devil will no longer effect those I love. Every time I find myself in such a situation, please usher in your knowledge and stronghold as well.

Now, as we start this weekend, check out this nice video! No lyrics, but good message. Sing along to "My Redeemer Lives" if you know it.

P.S. If you have trouble with the video stopping and starting, keep the video paused, and let it "buffer" (load) as it's called for a while. You will see the red bar along the bottom advance (speed depends on your Internet connection). Wait until that bar gets pretty far along (I'd say more than halfway) before you play the video and it shouldn't pause. P.S.
