A Vision.

Psalm 119:105
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light for my path.

When God tells us something, he expects us to listen. There shouldn't be any postponing because God is full of surprises. Take this story for example: "A young man who had been raised as an atheist was training to be an Olympic diver. The only religious influence in his life came from his outspoken Christian friend. The young diver never really paid much attention to his friend’s sermons, but he heard them often. One night th diver went to the indoor pool at the college he attended. The lights were all off, but as the pool had big skylights and the moon was bright, there was plenty of light to practice by. The young man climbed up to the highest diving board and as he turned is back to the pool on the edge of the board and extended his arms out, he saw his shadow on the wall. The shadow of his body, was in the shape of a cross. Seeing that image created such an unusual and strong response that instead of diving, he knelt down and finally asked God to come into his life. As the young man stood, a maintenance man walked in and turned the lights on. The pool had been drained for repairs."

What an incredible story! Just think this diver, who seemed to be pretty well-trained was planting his feet on the diving board. He was ready to jump; his arms were extended and everything. However, God had other plans.

We often don't realize how much of an influence people have on our lives. We underestimate them. The diver's friend wasn't going to give up; he was willing to preach to an atheist. Eventually it sunk in and hopefully the diver is growing in Christ as we speak.

I don't have to say much more, but the bottom line is that when you listen to God and God speaking to you through others then, you will be illuminated by his light. His light paves the way to him, an all-loving God. I pray that you will follow the path that God lays beneath your feet.
