God Promises: Victory Over Death.

1 Corinthians 15:54-57
54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."
55 "Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?" 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I know it's not Easter or anything, but to continue with our series on God's promises, one of those includes that Jesus Christ won victory over death. Do you realize because of Jesus we have eternal life (I'll talk more about this tomorrow)? However, if it weren't for Christ, then life would carry you on a path without any spiritual entity. Essentially, your spirit would be dead.

Why is his death so victorious? Jesus sacrificed his life for you so that you're life is actually worth living! Don't get the idea that you're worthless because you're not. In fact, that's almost an insult to God if you think that. His son died for you. Without him, your sins would still be with you and cause some heavy burdens. You would be doomed and would have to deal with your punishments elsewhere other than with the fair judgment of God if it weren't for him.

When Jesus was resurrected, it proves just how mighty the act was. It wasn't just a selfish, human desire, but rather one created especially by God for the people of God. By doing this it shows that God chose to deal with his frustration from the sins that we committed against him on his own.

Give thanks to God today for the promising fact of victory over death ultimately due to Jesus Christ. May any of the lies that Satan is putting in your mind, perish and be "swallowed up in victory" as God's promises transform your mind.

Now, for an incredible rendition of "Amazing Grace." Feel free to close your eyes and sing along! Remember, our discussion about grace on Wednesday.

P.S. If you have trouble with the video stopping and starting, keep the video paused, and let it "buffer" (load) as it's called for a while. You will see the red bar along the bottom advance (speed depends on your Internet connection). Wait until that bar gets pretty far along (I'd say more than halfway) before you play the video and it shouldn't pause. P.S. Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite reason
seemed to be on the web the simplest thing to be
aware of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while people consider worries that they just
don't know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
