God Promises: Everlasting Love.

Psalm 103:17
17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children-

How long is God's love for you? It's endless, really. It started at the beginning of time and the end is no where in sight because it's going to continue for an eternity. Just think, God loves YOU so much that he sent his only begotten son to die for YOU. God clearly saw past the sacrificial aspect and anticipated the need for your salvation.

There is no better person than to faithfully put your love into the one whose love is divine, constant, and everlasting. Even when we fail to express our love to God, God never does.

Why do we fail? We're human beings. However, I think if we're a little bit more conscious of our actions, then we will be a lot more like God. The greatest display of our love is when it's toughest to love. When things are rough, when others don't like you, you don't like them, or someone bothers you, you still should love them. Think about all the times God wouldn't love us and give up on us because we don't really love him or his children. Perhaps, you don't know God well enough. The reality is that we'll always be learning about God. Because God's love is everlasting, he keeps on loving us. He puts everything on the table and hopes that we love him in return.

On Sunday, we talked about love in church. Trevor Johnston preached his last sermon at Wesley before he leaves at the end of the month for Asbury. He had some great things to say. In fact, I'm going to outline the six principals of love as he told us:
1. Loves comes from God.
2. Love is the fruit of a relationship with God.
3. God's definition and demonstration of love is the cross.
4. God's love arouses a response.
5. Knowing the love of God leads to loving God.
6. Loving God leads to loving others.

Lord pour out your love into us, so that we are willing to love you and others. Help us realize that it's impossible to love you, without loving others; we can't fear you either or fear our growth in you.

So, we have no reason not to love God. His love surrounds us constantly.
