Wanting Heaven and God.

Job 19:26
26 And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;

When we have a desire for God, he blesses us and brings us satisfaction in his name. Without him we feel empty and thirsty. If you want heaven, then you want God.

You know what's amazing to me? God's stomping grounds are in heaven, so to speak. It is there were we can find him with all of his glory. However, simultaneously, he is all around us everywhere...no matter where we are!

So when we desire something, we often want to see it. This is similar in regards to what I discussed yesterday with the raspberry tea. However, since we're sinful and unholy, I'm not sure if we could handle it since God is just the opposite - perfect and holy. We don't realize that we're perfect and holy in God's eyes just like we see him.

Still, we have to realize that one day we will come face to face with God. The situation that Job described above will happen to us one day when we reach heaven. When we see him, it will be unlike anything else as if we've never seen anything before. This is because you will see him, other people, and things as he would see.

So while we want heaven, we want God.
