The Fact is: It's an Unsteady Dollar.

Ecclesiastes 5:13-14
13 There is another serious problem I have seen under the sun. Hoarding riches harms the saver. 14 Money is put into risky investments that turn sour, and everything is lost. In the end, there is nothing left to pass on to one’s children.

If you see money as a helper, that's not the best perspective. You shouldn't depend on money. You can work hard for years and years and then some unforeseen circumstances come along and a lot of that money disappears in the snap of a finger.

It's hard though because we can also become a little uncertain about money and we refuse to spend it. We sometimes say, "I'm not in good health, but I'm not going to spend money to go to the doctor just to tell me what I already know. There's no reason to spend that kind of money."

C'mon, what a foolish thing to do! That's just as ridiculous. It's sad to see what money can do when you see it as a motivation, a form of happiness, safety and security.

So where's the middle ground? It seems that money is either gone in thirty seconds or saved by the tons. Which one describes you the most or are you in the middle? How does this show your faithfulness toward God?

Ask God to help you trust him, not money. Money is so fickle.

“Pleasure in wealth is a fickle joy.” ~Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy
