Intimacy Toward God.

Job 34:19
19 who shows no partiality to princes
and does not favor the rich over the poor,
for they are all the work of his hands?

I mentioned having a great relationship with God yesterday. How do you go about that though? Be intimate. Intimacy with God involves striving for a passionate relationship with him. In order to be in an intimate relationship we need someone other than ourselves, and that's God. Remember that God cared about us so much that he gave his only son for us.

Why are so many people not in an intimate relationship with God? There's no reason not to be because he is our refuge and strong tower. When we meet God, he becomes a part of our entire life. He loves to display his power and transformation to others. He sacrificed his son so that all could live wonderfully in his holy name.

Sure, the hard part may be that intimacy doesn't just happen without any effort on your part You have to spend time with that person and in this case it's God. You have to trust in God and you will grow so much. God waits for you. God loves you. God thinks about you. He cares about you that much!

Slowly incorporate time with God into your schedule. You'll be surprised at how you'll eventually have time for him if you set aside some time each day. Slowly increase that time. Believe it or not, you can change so much in just a week! Pretty soon you'll be thinking about him as much as he thinks about you.

How much does God love you? Listen to the song "How He Loves" by David Crowder Band. It's amazing!

P.S. If you have trouble with the video stopping and starting, keep the video paused, and let it "buffer" (load) as it's called for a while. You will see the red bar along the bottom advance (speed depends on your Internet connection). Wait until that bar gets pretty far along (I'd say more than halfway) before you play the video and it shouldn't pause.
