Have a Grateful Heart.

Colossians 3:16
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

Do you realize how much it means to someone to sport a grateful heart and have an attitude of gratitude? If someone goes out of their way to do something for you, often they don't want something in return other than a simple "thank you." We have to remember that God wants the same thing. Don't just go to him when you need him.

Still discussing some points from Acquire the Fire over the next few days, what makes you willing to be compassionate toward others? You have to have a strong desire and passion for sure. Without hopeful anticipation, you will lack desire.

When you become so entranced in the Word of God, then what comes out of your mouth along with the actions you portray, reflect those of God. Remember, when you worship it's supposed to draw you into Christ. If you're not being drawn in when you worship, find other Christian music: more traditional or contemporary, for example. The idea is to reinforce who God is in you.

Time to show a grateful heart to the Redeemer and King!

Here's "Safe In Your Arms" by Abandon. They were at Acquire the Fire.

P.S. If you have trouble with the video stopping and starting, keep the video paused, and let it "buffer" (load) as it's called for a while. You will see the red bar along the bottom advance (speed depends on your Internet connection). Wait until that bar gets pretty far along (I'd say more than halfway) before you play the video and it shouldn't pause.
