He Died for a Reason.

Romans 14:9
9 Christ died and rose again for this very purpose—to be Lord both of the living and of the dead.

The words in this verse tells us there is a reason for Jesus to die. In fact, he died and rose again. He died for us--for our sins--and to set an example for the skeptical and lost.

Jesus didn't die just because he wanted to, but because God asked him to and he obeyed. It's obvious Jesus wasn't selfish right? He looked at everything except the pain and misery he would go through on the cross. Instead, he focused on the benefits of his sacrifice down the road.

And here we are today...alive because of Christ's decision. If not for him, we would be drowing in our sins and not be able to live the quality lives we live today.

Think about the purpose God has given you. Why are you here?

"It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone." ~Carl Townsend
