Who's on Your Shoulder?

1 Corinthians 10:13
13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

I think everybody at times has two different figures sitting on their shoulders. On one shoulder sits the devil, on the other is an angel. We are forced whether to choose the good or bad one. And who wins? Usually the bad one - the devil. Sometimes his ideas and suggestions that seem great as we generally go in the worldly direction. It happens time and time again. Those beings on our shoulders just don't give up (especially the devil).

Our lives are characterized by these decisions. Seemingly harmless at the time, decisions can be painful and harmful.

Sure, temptation is always going to occur. Don't let it get the better part of you though. Remember God is always there to help you with your decisions. If you think about him, you are less likely to go the wrong way.

“Good habits result from resisting temptation.” ~Ancient Proverb
