Giving Thanks to God.

Colossians 1:12
12 always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.

The past few days I've been writing how we can grow with God. I'm going to continue with that today talking about giving thanks.

Okay, so Thanksgiving isn't quite here yet, but that doesn't mean you can't be thankful. You can and should be thankful all the time.

Giving thanks is really important. I've seen it stated many times in the bible. Thanks is to be granted to those who do things that are truly great for us (going along with the verse, like if you, "share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light") for example.

Think about these questions for a few minutes:
-Do you thank God often?
-To you, what is the easiest thing to show appreciation toward?
-How do you go about thanking God?
-Is it common for people avoid thanking God because they don't think that it's
important

“So often we dwell on the things that seem impossible rather than on the things that are possible. So often we are depressed by what remains to be done and forget to be thankful for all that has been done.” ~Marian Wright Edelman
