Obeying God's Word.

James 1:22
22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

John 8:31-32
31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

God has given us the resource we need to study and apply it to our everyday life. If we do that, our lives will be impacted greatly. Jesus promised if we abide by his Word, we will know the truth because the Bible is the truth. We are to meditate the Word day and night, night and day. This way we can be prosperous Christians.

It is so very important to follow God's Word because it keeps us from swerving right or left and allows to go down a straight and narrow path that leads to life. Also, by delving into the Bible our prayers should be answered. You ever look around and say man why are all these Christians sick, poor, or struggling? We think that since God is Almighty there is no reason for it--it's unacceptable. We throw those problems on God. However, God has the power to do anything and if our prayers are not answered it's just not God's will. Anotherwards, we need to humble ourselves and go to God's word for answers, nothing else, as hard as that may be. We all desire to be free...free from what is holding us back...free from first impressions and wrong thoughts...and free from anything else that may act as a blockade to understand and receive God's blessings.

You see, God has given us the manual and key. We must DRIVE. God's word gives us light, comfort, and success. Spending time in God's word is simply spending time with God. This also means you must praise and worship, do things in his presence, and live a holy life.
