At the Foot of the Cross.

Matthew 26:53-54
53 Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands[a] of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly? 54 But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that describe what must happen now?”

It is now three days before Easter and today is known as Good Friday. It's a bit of a misnomer when you first think about it because what was done to Jesus was not good. However, the results of Christ's death for our sins is what makes it a good day!

It's a bit of a solemn day as we think about what Christ endured. On Good Friday, Christians are asked to go to the foot of the cross. We are to have our minds on Jesus throughout the day as we remember his suffering, and ultimately his death.
Despite all this suffering, divine love reflects off Jesus' body and the cross. The living God can be seen in Jesus and thus we are connected to Christ.

Doesn't this baffle your mind a little bit? It's okay. As long as we know that Jesus is God. Jesus was human and did have the chance to escape death. Who knows, maybe he could have destroyed all the Earth? But...that wasn't the case, thank goodness. He wanted to sacrifice his love so that he could claim responsibility for our sins. That's a beautiful thing! He knows what we deal with on a daily basis. He lost blood, tears, and his life for us. Let's live like Christ did. Remember you can never stop growing in your relationship with Christ!

Watch the song "We Fall Down" by Chris Tomlin. I love it!

P.S. If you have trouble with the video stopping and starting, keep the video paused, and let it "buffer" (load) as it's called for a while. You will see the red bar along the bottom advance (speed depends on your Internet connection). Wait until that bar gets pretty far along (I'd say more than halfway) before you play the video and it shouldn't pause.
