Our Body is a Temple.

Exodus 40:34-35
34 Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. 35 Moses could no longer enter the Tabernacle because the cloud had settled down over it, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.

God always wants to be close to us, instead of being so far from us that we can't come to him in need. He wants to be there as we walk through life with faith.

Notice how the Israelites compare God to a pillar of cloud. This signifies that God helps to lead them.

God wanted a place to live among the people. God asked for a Tabernacle to be built. It was made very meticulously. It was also taken care of in a precious manner. This place of worship wasn't to be infested with impurities, so there were a set of laws to abide.

Today that temple no longer stands in the Promise Land. We aren't expected to go find where God lives, but instead we're expected to accept him and invite him into our hearts. We want God to live within us. Take care of your body. Keep it pure. Make it appealing so that God has a holy place to reside in you. Think about what you can do to make this happen.

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body. ~C.S. Lewis
