Don't be Fake.

Proverbs 3:3-4
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.

What makes you who you are? A lot of it probably has to with our actions. Our character is determined by our love and faithfulness and not only that but how honest and open we are with our love and faith, according to this verse.

These are not traits that we can just throw up in the air and say "who cares?" They're a big deal. We shouldn't be fake about it either. We have to work on getting rid of our dual nature. Pick a side. Don't go to church on Sunday and act loving and faithful and then drop it on Sunday afternoon. It's an all or nothing deal that God's looking for. The truth of these matters need to be permanently sealed in your heart. Do something that will remind you of this everyday. Perhaps write a note to yourself promising that you will be true to your integrity and leave it in a spot that you will read everyday.

If you plan on being faithful, then you have to be filled with truth in everything you do and say. If we don't make these virtues a part of our everyday lives, then they will miscalculated in our identities. However, if they are a part of who we are, we will come to be noticed at the very least by others, and certainly by God.

Oh Lord, please engrave true love and faith onto our hearts today so that we be can be open to your power.

Have a wonderful long weekend!
