Jesus Comforts Us with Peace.

John 14:25-27
25 I am telling you these things now while I am still with you. 26 But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

In your mind, what do you picture God's power as? Maybe it is a big and strong hand reaching down from the sky. If you don't see it as of now, have you ever seen a painting of a hand? Has a hand ever reached out to grab you in real life?

When I was growing up, My dad tightly grasped my hand. I knew it would protect me. It really flooded with comfort. I was comforted by the fact that my dad was promising to take care of me.

Much of the same can be said about Jesus. So how does Jesus guide you? He sends his Holy Spirit down to you. He saved us by doing just that.

All this comfort that extends from Jesus is peace. He wants to save us from the world. He will do what he needs to make us at ease in peace!
